Stampede Subdivision of the BN
One last look back at the Four Corners area of Maple Valley. This shot is looking North, just past SE 280th Street. This shot looks due South, about 1/4 mile North of Henrys Junction between the Milwaukee and the Burlington Northern (now BNSF). Located about 1.5 miles North of the City of Black Diamond, Henrys Junction, as it looks today. Milwaukee trackage crossed over the top of the Stampede Sub of BN (now BNSF) in its heyday. The Milwaukee trackage passed over the BN at this point, known as Henrys Junction. All that remain of the Milwaukee trackage that once proudly transported coal from Black Diamond. Turning again to the South, the line proceeded upgrade to Black Diamond.
